Environmental Landscapes

Natural Heritage Systems

We create and restore networks of natural features and areas in new and existing land developments linked by natural corridors. These systems are necessary for maintaining environmental health and promoting both biological and geological diversity. This includes protecting and enhancing the long-term quality of wildlife habitats which help sustain viable populations of endemic species.

Stormwater Management Ponds

We create the natural infrastructure used to collect and manage rainfall and surface water runoff. These ponds are designed to prevent water from draining directly into waterways which not only reduces flooding, but also limits pollution by removing sediment particles that pollutants attach themselves to. This results in a controlled flow of clean water from the stormwater ponds back into our watercourse.

Native Species Planting

We plant a mix of native trees, shrubs and plants to enhance the livability of your home and strengthen urban forests. We are promoting biodiversity and preserving our ecosystems not only for us, but for generations to come.

Native and Wildflower Seed Applications
(Native and Wildflower Seeding)

We use Terraseeding and Hydroseeding to distribute the seed mixes that support local ecosystems and preserve biodiversity. The native, wildflower, or custom seed mixes can be tailored to the specific needs and requirements of the job to maximize their benefit.

Urban and Streetscape Landscapes

Boulevard Trees

Trees are an important part of every community. We plant a variety of native tree species in community developments to improve quality of life by bringing nature and wildlife habitats into urban settings. Trees are vital for combatting climate change by improving air quality, regulating the water cycle, preserving soil, and promoting biodiversity. So the more we plant, the better!

Window Road Buffer & Entrance Feature Plantings

These elements within and along the street right-of-way add character and help define the appearance and identity of a subdivision. They also serve as an ecological buffer zone that minimizes the impacts of adjacent land use.

Park Development

Urban parks are key elements of a thriving community and city. They provide residents and visitors with a place to relax, exercise, play and connect with neighbours, friends, and family. Whether it is a neighbourhood park, urban park, town square or community park, we build these spaces to add massive value to any community.

Trails and Greenways

These biological linkages physically connect important greenspaces in a city. They create valuable social spaces, encourage physical fitness and outdoor recreation, and promote eco-friendly transportation. Additionally, these spaces protect the environment and preserve culturally and historically significant landmarks.

Sodding

Sodding is a method of permanent erosion control where a continuous cover of grass sod is laid on exposed soil. Sodding is a great way to stabilize a landscape, especially disturbed areas, areas where seeding is not an option, and channels or swales that convey water. It also serves as a means of stormwater control by reducing flow velocity.

Hardscapes

Hardscaping adds another level of beauty and ambiance to your space while also improving functionality. It is a critical part of landscape design, providing definition and a sense of organization to natural areas and features. This can include paving in unit pre-cast, asphalt, concrete, and natural stone; retaining walls in pre-cast, armour stone, cast-in-place concrete, and masonry walls; and columns in brick and natural stone.
